1.  pulled an all-nighter
It means when you stay up all night through to the next morning with no sleep, for example, 
studying or working to meet a deadline.
-  Oh dear, I got a lot of assignments which must be finished for tomorrow, perhaps I am 
going to pull an all-nighter to make them finished on time.
2.  In the nick of time
at the last possible moment.
-  Today is the last chance for me to submit my application in this scholarship, i can 
finally submit my application in the nick of time.
3.  In hot water
in a difficult situation in which you are likely to be punished (In trouble).
-  I have several presentation for my class today, I have not made a good preparation 
and my power point was left in my house, I am really in hot water.
4.  My mind went totally blank
if we are asked a question and your mind goes blank, we cannot think of anything to say
-  I was so nervous during the interview that when I was asked about my experience, my 
mind went blank.
5.  To Hand in
To Hand over, to give, to submit.
-  I got trouble to do my paper, I think my paper has many mistakes, I am afraid to hand 
in my paper to the lecturer today.
6.  Cold (Adverb)
Entirely, Completely.
-  The surah of al-muluq is very long, but alhamdulillah i have memorized it cold.
7.  To take a nap
to have a brief period of sleep 
-  I feel so sleepy after lunch, i am better to take a nap to refresh my brain.
8.  To hit the books
To study hard.
-  I have an exam tomorrow, I gotta go home and hit the books.
9.  You can say that again!
That is very true
-  A : After long holiday, her body is being bigger now, B : yeah.. you can say that 
again!
